September 17 - Projects in Motion with Erin Godfrey and Ruth Douthwright

In this Fall workshop series (Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec) we will investigate principles of movement found in rolling, crawling, standing and walking. You can expect guided improvisation, repeating loops and bits of phrase work. Erin and Ruth are informed by many different movement modalities with a shared interest in experiential and theoretical research for functional dynamics applied to dancing, sports, yoga, fitness and everyday pedestrian practices of walking, sitting, standing etc..

Enhancing the Capacity for the Natural Body Moving. Learn how the landscapes of physical skills and psychological skills work together in a somatic
psychoeducational workshop. By learning how self-regulation happens through movement and psycho-education we discover the interplay between the psychological and movement in daily life. Gain a deeper sense of how coming into body awareness means coming into whole life experience.
